ADMISSION

At St Francis Catholic Primary School the Governing Body controls admissions and is responsible for managing the Admissions Policy. The school serves the Catholic communities of St Francis parish.  Applications are welcome from other members of the community who wish their children's education to be guided by Christian principles. These applications are considered in accordance with our Admissions Policy. For help and information with applying for a place at St Francis, please click the links below.

If you are considering a place at St. Francis, we would strongly encourage you to come and visit our school before applying for a place. If your child is starting school and you are interested in a Reception place, we hold a number of 'open days' each year, but can also accommodate visits at other times. If your child is joining another year group because you are relocating from another area or school then we will be happy to show you round - simply call or email the office to make an appointment.

We hope you enjoy the following short film about our school ...

Applying for a Place in Reception

We offer 'Open Days' where you can visit the school between October and December, please contact the school office to request when these are.

These tours offer an opportunity for parents/carers to find out more about the school and to experience the ethos and culture of the school.

Applications for a Reception place at St Francis Catholic Primary School must be made to the Local Authority (LA) where your child lives, this can be done by clicking on the link below:

In-Year Applications

There are many reasons why a child may need to start a new school. We are always happy to welcome new children to our school and, as with children joining Reception.  If you are considering a place at St. Francis we want to be able to guide you through the process and would encourage you contact the school office to book an appointment by calling a member of our office team on 01275 855373. They will arrange for a senior member of staff to show you around and answer any questions you might have.

If you are offered a place at school and haven't been able to visit then we will ask you to come and meet with us before your child starts.  All of our staff are also always on hand to support and guide our new families through the transition process.

To apply for a place, please return the below application form to the school office:

      - Children of another Christian denomination
      - Children of another faith
      - Children of a member of School staff, within each category.
