St Francis'
Catholic Primary School

The Prayer team were invited to spend the afternoon with Bishop Declan to talk about the Year of Mission. They travelled to his home in Leigh Woods where they were shown around his house and garden, shared photos of activities they had been doing in school and asked him lots of questions about his role as Bishop. Each class had submitted a question that they would like answered and the interview was recorded so the Bishop's responses could be played back to the whole school in Assembly. The Prayer team felt very honoured to be invited to Bishop Declan's house and enjoyed spending time with him and eating some rather delicious cakes which he had provided!A very warm welcome to St Francis' Catholic Primary School

St Francis'
School Council

Each class elects two of its class members to represent their views on the School Council.

The School Council meets under the guidance of Mrs Hunt, two or three times a term to discuss any issues the children wish to raise and also to consider how to make improvements to life in school.

They are currently raising money to buy additional small playground equipment. Minutes of meetings are written and displayed in the KS2 corridor for everyone to read.
