Charitable Giving

As a caring School, we have been thinking of others, either by raising money or sending in gifts for those less fortunate than ourselves. Below you will find information about some of the good causes we have supported recently
Christmas Giving Tree

Advent is a time to think of others so instead of putting up a traditional Christmas tree, we put up a Christmas 'Giving' Tree. Hanging on our tree were the names of those we wanted to pray for. Below the tree were gifts for those who do not have enough to eat. The food was donated to Nailsea Foodbank and was share with those who are hungry.

KS2 Carol Service

Thank you to parents, family members and parishioners who contributed to charity collection following the KS2 Carol Service.
£391 was raised for the Uganda Water Fund.

Harvest Appeal - Emmaus Project £365

The Prayer Team and Year 4 worked together to organise this year's Harvest Celebration. In the photos you can see Year 4 who let this year's Harvest Mass and the school Prayer Team who organised a Chocolate Bar sale. Thank you to all those who supported our Harvest appeal, helping us raise over £365 for the Emmaus Project - a charity which is providing a water supply for a school in Uganda
Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee £1798.35

To tie in with Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee, our annual sponsored event was called 'Celebrate 70'. Each class spent 70 minutes doing various challenges eg Throw and Catch a ball 70 times, skip 70 times, bounce a ball 70 times, run around the field 70 times, score 70 penalties. Some challenges were individual challenges, others were for a group. We organised the event to raise money for 'The Emmaus Project'. We are hoping to raise at least £1,000 so we can buy a water tank for a school in Uganda.
The 179th St Bonaventure's Brownies also contributed to our fundraising total!

Drop of Water £565

During Lent we are collecting money to buy a well for a village in Uganda and are trying to fill a toilet with coins. We dressed in blue as part of the 'Drop of Water' day and took part in a workshop where we thought about how we can save water in solidarity with our brothers and sisters around the world who don't have clean water.
Ukraine Appeal

Thank you to everyone for your kind donations which are safely on their way to those in need.

The Grand Appeal for Bristol Children's Hospital 2021 £2621

The Grand Appeal supports patients, families and staff at Bristol Children’s Hospital. Laps of the school field were completed to raise money and the children found many different ways to complete each lap. Thank you to parents, friends and family members who supported us.

Children in Need 2021 £293

The children had a surprise visit from Pudsey Bear as part of their Children in Need fund raising day. The children had chosen 'Strictly Sparkly' as their theme and they wore their best ballroom dancing outfits, sparkly hairbands and bow-ties in place of their school uniform. Pudsey visited each class and joined in the fun including races on the playground helping to raise lots of money for Children in Need!
